Luigi Berio is an illustrator, designer, and director of animated films (GENOVA Sinfonia della Città with Emanuele Luzzati and, most recently, STOP Let’s Change Our Future, an animated symphony on environmental protection).

He has been an artistic director since 2002 in the three areas of Arteprima: design, culture, and animation. In this role, he has designed urban installations (including a large iron and steel cube for the City of Genoa, 2004), museum installations, and exhibitions. He has reworked the brand identity of numerous foundations and cultural institutions as well as overseen the publication of illustrated books and art catalogues.

In 2020 worked with Quentin Blake on CLOWN, turning the renowned illustrated book into a colorful animated film, premiered on Christmas Day on Channel4 UK.

E’ dal 2002 direttore artistico di Arteprima nei tre ambiti design, cultura e animation. Con questo ruolo ha progettato installazioni urbane (il grande cubo in ferro e acciaio di Genova 2004), allestimenti di festival, mostre e musei; ha ripensato l’immagine di fondazioni e istituzioni culturali e curato l’edizione di libri illustrati e d’arte.

Nel 2020 con Quentin Blake ha diretto e portato sugli schermi la trasposizione del libro illustrato CLOWN in un colorato film d’animazione, andato in onda su Channel4 UK  la sera di Natale.
